Mind Over Marathon

Personal Training in Hammersmith - Bianca Sainty Personal Training

Yesterday London hosted one of the greatest physical challenges us humans put ourselves through (other than childbirth?) - the MARATHON.

I was fortunate enough to run London in 2011, and really it was a turning point for me. After suffering Post-Natal Depression, I gradually ran myself back into better mental health over 4 months of training 4 times a week.

It was tough. I wrote this motto to keep me going.

I will never forget the exceptional experience of race day. I realised that from then on, exercise HAD to be an intrinsic part of my life. Completing the Marathon gave me the confidence to retrain as a Personal Trainer, and to embark on this most fun and fulfilling chapter of my life - helping others to feel confident in themselves, their bodies and their minds, through exercise.

Every year now I'm drawn to cheer on the thousands of ordinary people who take on this most mammoth challenge. This year I had the priviledge to cheer on local dads Nick Marshallsay & Drew Palmer - who both SMASHED IT - and raised a tonne of money for Prostate Cancer UK & West London Action for Children. Epic is all I can say.

If you're inspired to do your bit but would rather a much less gruelling challenge...Why not sign up to local charity Crosslight Advice's 'Move4Change' day.

It's a 10km Walk or 40km Cycle ride on Saturday 13th May at 1-5pm. It starts and ends at St Paul's Hammersmith Cafe (the church under the Flyover). There's also a Walking Quiz, Cream Tea & Raffle.

Last but certainly not least, we are sad to announce that Vanda is leaving us. After nearly 18 months teaching with us, Vanda has decided to focus on her other, already full-time job, managing a private gym in High Street Ken. We're pleased to say that she is first enjoying a well-earned holiday in Thailand!

We will miss you Vanda, and we wish you all the best for the future.

So we are recruiting again, on the search for another top PT to join the team. We're looking forward to introducing him/her to you soon! Meanwhile Aneta and I will be looking after your sessions.

See you in the park soon,
